ESRU, as part of its registration of prospects to receive an educational scholarship, will collect and process identification personal data, contact personal data, academic personal data, personal history data, employment personal data, patrimonial personal data, and financial personal data.

Likewise, we inform you that to fulfill the primary and necessary purposes indicated in this Notice, ESRU will not collect or process sensitive personal data.

On the other hand, we inform you that ESRU may collect and process identification personal data, contact personal data, academic personal data, patrimonial personal data, financial personal data, and employment personal data of your relatives and/or third parties with whom you have a relationship, either those who exercise parental authority or those who provide you with economic support, with the purpose of verifying that you are in an economic situation that does not allow you to cover the cost of your studies. Thus, by providing the necessary personal data related to your relatives and/or third parties, you acknowledge having their consent for ESRU to process their personal information to fulfill the stated purposes.

Primary purposes

ESRU will process your personal data to fulfill the following primary and necessary purposes:

To follow up on your application and verify if you meet the requirements to receive the requested educational scholarship.
To contact and interview you.
For the application of socioeconomic studies.
To conduct vocational orientation tests.

Secondary purposes

On the other hand, we inform you that if you receive the requested educational scholarship, your data will become part of your beneficiary file. However, in case you do not receive the scholarship, if you do not oppose it, ESRU will keep your personal information for the following purposes, which are not necessary for the primary purposes described above, but allow us to provide you with better service:

For possible future contacts and to identify you in case you apply again for an educational scholarship.

Additionally, ESRU will use your personal information for the following purposes which are not necessary for the service you request but allow us to provide you with better attention:

For your personal image (whether photo, video, etc.) to be used and disclosed in the preparation of ESRU informational and promotional material.
To broadcast congratulations and other celebrations and special days, as well as recognitions for outstanding achievements.
For conducting surveys and evaluations.
To make internal and external publications about the beneficiary’s personal story to present you as an example of success and human value where some identification, academic data, as well as your photograph and video will be shared.
To send you advertising and communications for marketing and/or telemarketing purposes.
To inform your relatives and/or authorized third parties about your academic performance and provide information related to the educational scholarship granted.
To invite you to meetings, events, forums, and associations organized by ESRU and/or other third parties related to ESRU.

On the other hand, we inform you that ESRU may collect and process identification personal data, contact personal data, academic personal data, patrimonial personal data, financial personal data, and employment personal data of your relatives and/or third parties with whom you have a relationship, whether they exercise parental authority or provide you financial support, with the purpose of verifying that your economic situation will allow you, in the future, to cover the amount of the requested credit. Thus, by providing the necessary personal data related to your relatives and/or third parties, you acknowledge having their consent for ESRU to process their personal information to comply with what is indicated.

Furthermore, ESRU may collect and process identification data, contact data, academic data, asset data, financial data, and employment data of your family members and/or third parties with whom you have a relationship, whether they hold parental authority or provide you with financial support, in order to verify that your financial situation justifies the need for economic support. By providing personal data of your family members and/or third parties, you acknowledge that you have obtained their consent for ESRU to process their data for the purposes stated above.

Furthermore, to fulfill the primary and necessary purposes stated in this Notice, ESRU will collect and process health data, specifically data related to medical studies and your medical history, in order to verify your need for the ESRU Escucha support.

Additionally, ESRU may collect and process identification data, contact data, academic data, asset data, financial data, and employment data of your family members and/or third parties with whom you have a relationship, whether they exercise parental authority or provide you with financial support, to verify that your circumstances warrant receiving support from ESRU Escucha. By providing the necessary personal data related to your family members and/or third parties, you acknowledge having obtained their consent for ESRU to process their personal data for the purposes stated above.

ESRU will process your personal data to fulfill the following primary and necessary purposes:

To follow up on your application and verify whether you meet the requirements to receive support from ESRU Escucha.
To contact and interview you.

Secondary Purposes

If you receive support from ESRU Escucha, your data will become part of your file as a beneficiary. However, if you do not receive the support, and you do not object, ESRU will retain your personal data for the following secondary purposes, which are not necessary to fulfill the aforementioned primary purposes, but which help us provide better service:

For potential future contact and to identify you in case you reapply for an educational scholarship.

ARCO Rights and/or Revocation of Consent

Your request must be made by completing the form to exercise ARCO Rights and Revocation of Consent (hereinafter “Request”), which is available at http://www.fundacionesru.org/solicitudarco and contains all the required elements for us to address the exercise of your rights and/or revocation of consent in accordance with applicable regulations.

To allow the ESRU Personal Data Protection Committee to follow up on your request, you or your legal representative must properly prove your identity. To do this, it is necessary to complete all the fields indicated in the Request and attach a copy of one of the following official identification documents:

Voter ID (Instituto Federal Electoral - IFE).
Passport.
Military Service Card (Servicio Militar Nacional).
Professional License (Cédula Profesional).
Postal Identity Card (issued by SEPOMEX).
Certificate or Proof of Studies.
IMSS Membership Card.
ISSSTE Membership Card.
Migration document proving the legal status of a foreign national in Mexico.

If the information provided in the Request is incorrect or insufficient, or if the required accreditation documents are not included, the ESRU Personal Data Protection Committee may, within five (5) business days following receipt of the Request, ask you to provide the necessary elements or documents to process it. You will have ten (10) business days to respond to the request, starting from the day after you receive it. If no response is received within this timeframe, the Request will be considered not submitted.

The ESRU Personal Data Protection Committee will notify you of its decision within a maximum period of twenty (20) business days from the date the Request was received. If the request is deemed appropriate, it will be implemented within fifteen (15) business days after the response is communicated. The response will be sent via email to the address specified in the Request.
