ESRU Tutoring

These tutoring sessions were created to support children enrolled in the CEC-ESRU with their school assignments, helping them reinforce what they learned in regular classes. The tutors are ESRU scholarship recipients or university students completing their social service in Puebla.

A space for the community

For 17 years, the ESRU Computer Center has actively served the community of the El Parián neighborhood with an inclusive and motivating vision. This center is designed to be a space for practical and continuous learning—a safe place where the community can learn creatively, easily, and positively. We began in El Parián and have now opened a new space at Casa ESRU El Carmen with courses for adults.

Summer Workshops

Every summer, various workshops on different topics are offered so that children enrolled in the Computer Center can keep learning while having fun.

Comprehensive Development Workshop

This activity arose from the concern of mothers and grandmothers of CEC-ESRU children who wanted to improve their children's and grandchildren’s education. The workshop addresses topics such as self-esteem, decision-making, setting boundaries, values, and more. The goal is to provide children with a holistic education and help them improve their interpersonal relationships.

Training in Quilting

In line with ESRU Capacita’s goals, the first job training course was held in 2014, aimed at a group of women interested in sewing. Participants learned a new technique to create more and better products.
For a Healthy ESRU

Thanks to the initiative of an ESRU scholar—now a medical student—this project was created to deliver monthly talks on health and nutrition topics, aimed at the mothers of the child beneficiaries.
