Financial Support

In Mexico, a large number of young people are forced to abandon their studies to support their families financially. As a result, they are unable to acquire the tools needed to improve their quality of life, perpetuating the cycle of poverty and hindering social mobility. To address this issue, Fundación ESRU has provided support to young people who want to study but cannot do so due to socio-economic reasons since its inception. The foundation covers school-related expenses such as tuition fees, school supplies, transportation, and other needs. Through this initiative, Fundación ESRU has granted 745 different financial supports to 399 individuals.

Testimony

Since high school, I knew I wanted to study Architecture at UNAM, because it's a discipline where ideas become tangible and spaces are brought to life. Unfortunately, my family's financial situation couldn't support a degree where the cost of materials is quite high. My great-grandfather José worked many years ago as a gardener for Mrs. Amparito; that’s how my mother came into contact with the ESRU Foundation.
Thanks to this six-year financial support, I’ve been able to continue my studies and complete my degree. Without it, pursuing my goal wouldn't have been possible. I’m currently in the process of earning my professional license, and my next step is to specialize in hospital architecture.
